We believe that life is best when lived in the context of healthy relationships with God and with one another. As such, we seek to maintain these relationships in the following ways:

  1. Regular attendance of Sunday worship for the strengthening of our faith and relationship with God our Loving Father;
  2. Regular study of the Word of God and engagement in other Christian instruction;
  3. Taking this Word to and serving others around us in our various callings with our God-given talents, time, and treasures.

Because we regularly fail in these things – and being human, so many others also – we testify wholeheartedly that the only basis for our relationship with God is the shed blood of His Son, Jesus Christ, slain on the cross and buried to make all our wrongs and failings up to God our Father. And so, while seeking always to fulfill our duty as God’s forgiven people, we dare not forget to examine ourselves and admit where we need to put things right as well.

Furthermore, as a member of Lutheran Church-Canada, we subscribe unconditionally to the scriptures of the Old and the New Testament (“the Bible”) as the very written Word of God, and therefore, the only source and measure of faith and practice. We also subscribe without reservation to all Symbolical Books of the Evangelical Lutheran Church as a true expression of what the Word of God actually teaches, namely: the three Ecumenical Creeds (the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, the Athanasian Creed), the Unaltered Augsburg Confession, the Apology of the Augsburg Confession, the Smalcald Articles, The Large Catechism of Luther, the Small Catechism of Luther and the Formula of Concord. We believe, teach, and confess without reservation that these documents accurately portray the one, true, ‘catholic’ (according to the wholeness of Christian doctrine) and apostolic (Biblical) faith, as drawn from Sacred Scripture.

Any questions about these or any of our beliefs and practices are more than welcome. Please feel free to contact us in any of these ways.
